Social and Health Assistance Program for the Elderly
Project SHAPE is the North Hudson Region’s single point of contact agency for all information pertaining to senior citizens. The department assists seniors with insurance matters and provides a wide variety of resources and screenings for residents 60 years of age and older:
- Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled Program (PAAD)
- Senior Gold Prescription Discount Program (Senior Gold)
- Jersey Assistance for Community Caregiving (JACC)
- LIFELINE Credit Program and Tenants’ LIFELINE Assistance Program
- New Jersey Statewide Heating Assistance and Referral for Energy Services
- Property Tax Reimbursement Program (PTR) Senior Freeze
- Adult Protective Services Program (APS)
- Legal Assistance
- Meals on Wheels
- Care Management for home bound seniors
- Residential Maintenance
- Assistance preparing miscellaneous applications, such as Section 8, Senior Housing, Recertification of SNAP and Medicaid etc.
