North Hudson Community Action Corporation is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our dental team. Under the general direction of the dental provider, the Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials, and assisting during dental procedures. This position supports dental providers in delivering high-quality patient care and assists in all phases of dental treatment. This role requires travel to our health center locations throughout Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic Counties.

Education /Exeperience Required

HS School Diploma or GED required – Dental Assistant Certificate preferred or minimum two years of experience – New Jersey Radiography License (or eligible) – Infection Control Certificate (or eligible)
Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable.

The HIM/PRA Clerk is responsible for assisting the Health Information Management Department with medical records processing and supporting the Prenatal Risk Assessment (PRA) program. This role includes processing medical records requests, maintaining organized patient records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and NJ PRA guidelines. The position also supports obstetric PRA documentation, data entry, follow-up tracking, and collaboration with clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of PRA requirements.

Nutritionist (WIC Program)

Under the supervision of the Chief Nutritionist, the Nutritionist provides nutrition assessments, counseling, and food package prescriptions for women, infants, and children participating in the WIC Program, in accordance with organizational and New Jersey Department of Health policies and procedures. The Nutritionist serves as a Competent Professional Authority (CPA), determines nutritional risk, provides nutrition and breastfeeding counseling, assigns appropriate food packages, and makes referrals to health and social services as needed.

Education Requirements:
Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Science, or related field, or Registered Dietitian; OR Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics with DPD Verification Statement (Plan IV or V).

Health Services Manager (LPN) – Head Start / Early Head Start

We are seeking a licensed LPN to serve as the Health Services Manager for our Head Start and Early Head Start programs. This role oversees health, nutrition, and safety services for enrolled children and ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and applicable health regulations. 

The Health Services Manager will coordinate medical, dental, and nutrition services for enrolled children.
Monitor and maintain child health records and CACFP documentation to ensure compliance. Conduct health and safety monitoring and support environmental safety practices across program sites. Provide training and guidance to staff on health procedures, documentation, and child safety practices.
Work with families to support children’s preventive health care and wellness needs.

Required Credentials:  Valid/Active NJ LPN license.
Experience in pediatrics, community health, or early childhood programs preferred. Knowledge of Head Start health and safety standards is a plus. Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills required. Bilingual English/Spanish

Schedule: Temporary (3-6 months) – Full-time – 35 hours per week – Monday- through Friday. Able to travel to all 5 Head Start locations within Hudson County – Must have own means of transportation.
